FORT WORTH, TX — Macy's is holding a nationwide holiday hiring day on Thursday, October 22, and Macy's stores across Tarrant County, from Hulen Mall to North East Mall in Hurst and The Parks at Arlington, will be taking walk-in applicants for seasonal jobs. In its holiday hiring announcement, Macy's, Inc. said it is filling seasonal positions at its stores and select supply chain sites, with in-person hiring events on three Thursdays: September 24, October 22 and November 19. Times vary by location.

Here's the Fort Worth reality. Macy's published a list of markets with greater hiring opportunities, and Fort Worth isn't on it. The only Texas market named for Macy's stores is Houston. Tarrant County stores are hiring as part of the nationwide push. Macy's has not released a headcount for Fort Worth or a national total, so treat October 22 as an open door at your local store rather than a promise of a set number of jobs.
